The LOOP chair was born out of an extraordinary collaboration between female designer India Mahdavi and legendary Gebrüder Thonet Vienna (GTV). LOOP was conceived from Mahdavi’s line drawing which she made without lifting the pencil off the paper, making a truly original, beautiful, special design.
This process combined with GTV’s legendary craft in hand-bent steamed beech wood, makes LOOP come to life as an animated and whimsical form.
As Mahdavi says, “Gebrüder Thonet Vienna is the only manufacturer in the world that enables you to translate a free-hand drawings by giving it a wooden materiality of that quality.”
Available as a dining chair, lounge chair or banquette-bench, LOOP is comfortable, elegant, playful, and stylish.
